Training within UPU

International Alliance of Inhabitants, following the constitution of the Urban Popular University, is promoting with the University of Catania, faculty of Political Sciences, and with IMMI, International Mediterranean Management Institute, Troina, the participation of seven inhabitants and associations leaders (not necessarily enrolled in universities) to the "Third Sector and Local Development in the Mediterranean" master. Those who are interested can write at info@habitants.org, explaining the reasons for taking part in such master and attaching a CV.

European program of Mobility around the challenge to Urban exclusion.

Project Summary:

By stimulating and allowing the growth of exchanges at the European level, the project gives the opportunity of developing a deeper knowledge not only of the different actors, but also of the public and private devices that aim to struggle against urban exclusion situations. The results of an action-research carry out by some of the beneficiaries of the program will permit to feed a database on the subject, accessible to anyone. The starting up and the fulfillment of common urban projects will reinforce, at the same time, the links between professionals and habitants. Trough this action it will be possible as well to answer to the increasing requests of the young labor force and graduates in architecture, urbanism, social and human sciences, who wish to participate and to be trained in European Union Countries on thematic regarding the city. The requests that come from the civil society, NGO’s, companies and local collectivities for the training and the evaluation will be finally heard.
